He was born in Osaka in 1937. In 1955 he joined Fujiikeori Co.Ltd and retired the company in 1966. After the retirement, he went to U.S.A. to learn the textile and the distributing system and to Europe to study the fabric culture. After he came back to Japan, he established Itoi Textile Center (present Itoi Textile Co., Ltd.). His passion toward developing new products is as strong as before and has kept producing a lot of textiles one after another, which are highly appreciated worldwide. Recently he devotes himself to the study of SASAWASHI, Japanese Paper blended with KUMAZASA. Long awaited SASAWASHI SHOP is open now. He is working with enthusiasm.
