"From Paper to Fabric"
Here are four processes to make a SASAWASHI fabric.
In the process of making WASHI, KUMAZASA flakes (improved SASAWASHI fiber so that its chlorophyll may not be resolved) are blended into WASHI to make a sheet of SASAWASHI paper.
Slitting a sheet of SASAWASHI. Slitting means cutting a sheet straight to make a long tape. A narrow paper makes a fine yarn and a wide paper makes a thick yarn.
Twisting the SASAWASHI tapes to make yarns in the same way as to make strings. By weaving and knitting the SASAWASHI yarns, creating various products become possible.
By machine-weaving SASAWASHI yarns, a SASAWASHI fabric is made.
